This is a Bible Study about Deuteronomy 28:15, 17, 18, 30, 32, and related verses.

   In the past, when America had respect for God's Ten Commandments, God kept his promise and delivered abundant national blessings. God made a Christian America the most powerful and prosperous nation ever. These past blessings are listed in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and Leviticus 26:1-13 of your Bible. Click here to read them.

Times have changed. Something very bad happened in 1962!

Hosea 5:15.  I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

Deuteronomy 32:20.  And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward (perverse) generation, children in whom is no faith.

Comment: Hosea 5:15 said, "in their affliction they will seek me early" The 'affliction' comes before the 'seeking'.  This article will contain information and ideas to help you get through hard times and reduce your families personal suffering caused by national affliction.

Deuteronomy 32 is The Song of Moses mentioned in Revelation 15:33 where it says, "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints." The Song of Moses is also about America.

   After being startled by the statement that Moses spoke of America, you ask, "What happened in 1962?" The answer, The United States Supreme Court kicked God out of public affairs! The Ten Commandments and Christian symbols started to be removed from public places. Prayer and the Bible was removed from public schools.

   It has been fast down hill ever since. Here is PROOF! Look at this!! (Click here.)!  The book America, To Pray Or Not To Pray? is a statistical look at what has happened since 1962 when religious principles were separated from public affairs.

   Yes, statistics PROVE that God has turned his back on America!  June 25, 1962 was the 'last straw'.

   With ever increasing speed, symbols of both Christianity and the Ten Commandments are now being removed from government property and public places. We are told the lie that the U.S. Constitution calls for 'separation of church and state'.  Churches are teaching "the Law is done away in Jesus". Check out this video.    Historian Eric Foner has noted there was a "massive redefinition of freedom" in the 1960s "as a rejection of all authority." Sociologist Alan Wolfe has suggested there is an 11th Commandment: "Thou shall not judge." Click here for source. This 1960s comment is also found on page 35 of  The Lost Art of Drawing the Line by Philip K Howard.

   In June 2007, (then) Presidential candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA was no longer a Christian nation.  (Isn't that an admission that the United States was a Christian nation?)

   After his election, President Obama, canceled the annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the rouse of "not wanting to offend anyone".

   Then, on April 15, 2010, A federal judge in Wisconsin declared that the US law authorizing a National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. US District Judge Barbara Crabb said the federal statute violates the First Amendment’s prohibition on government endorsement of religion. Several Christian Clergymen praised Judge Crabb’s ruling.

BUT

   After listing America's past blessings, promises which God kept before 1962, verse 15 in Deuteronomy begins with "But".
Moses spoke about the United States when he said:

  In America they remove the Ten Commandments from government and 501c3 churches teach "the Law is done away in Jesus".

 Deuteronomy 28:15.  But it shall come to pass, if thou (the nation) wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day;  that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 

16. Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

Not just a prophecy!

   Deuteronomy 28 is not just prophecy! Rather it is a statement by God of what he promised to do. Notice the words ' "The Lord shall" is found 20 times in Deuteronomy 28.  In Leviticus 26 God said, "I will" 25 times.

Deuteronomy 28 is NOT cause and effect!

   It is a statement by a living God who keeps his word. The daily news headlines prove these verses are about America and prove that the God who spoke them is alive and well.

Your Job and Retirement Savings. Verse 17:

17.  Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. For many of us, our jobs went to China and our retirement accounts were plundered.

Verse 18 - Problem Children.
18.  Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, (cattle) and the flocks of thy sheep. More and more children are born with birth defects. We eat genetically modified crops and cattle fattened with drugs and growth hormones. Food ingredient labels that read like chemical catalogues. (The Slow Poisoning of America)

Verse 27 - Incurable Sickness. National sickness is a measure of national sin.
27.  The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

 Health care costs of about 4.3 Trillion in 2010. It is a tithe of our national income. And with each additional year we Americans are sicker than the year before. In Deuteronomy 28:1-14 God promised good health in trade for commandment keeping.

27. "whereof thou canst not be healed" More and more modern medicine is treating rather that curing. For example diabetes is treated not cured. The patient becomes a life-long consumer of expensive drugs.

Micah 6:13. Therefore also will I (God) make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate (Why?) because of thy sins.

Deuteronomy 7:11&15. (IF) Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. (THEN) 15 ... the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. (If America quits sinning our illnesses will be transferred to THEY who hate us.)

Verse 28 - Mental illness and heart attack.

28.  The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:

Marketing of Madness - Are we all insane?
"and blindness" Blindness is one side effect of diabetes. Spiritual blindness comes from 501C3 churches. (That is why the information found here is not found in almost all churches.)

"astonishment of heart" Heart attack has become a major fear and killer. If you survive a heart attack there is no cure. The rest of your life you be visiting a doctor's office for prescription medications to treat the past heart attack and try to prevent another heart attack. "whereof thou canst not be healed" 

Verse 30 - Your home, marriage and business.
This verse has three parts.
30. (a) Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: (a)  Today many marriages end in divorce. Notice the verse is directed to the man. The man finds his wife in bed with the neighbor. 
(b) thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: (b) The divorce court gives the wife the house he built or bought and her lover moves in.
(c) thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. (c)  The divorce often ends up costing the man his savings, home, children, and sometimes his job or business. (his vineyard)

Verse 32 - Your Children
This verse has three parts.

32.  (a) Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people,

(b) and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long:

(c) and there shall be no might in thine hand.

 

 (a) "Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people*,"

   The legal doctrine is called parens patrae. Parents are said to have custody** of their children. Custody is not ownership. Unknown to you, your children were given to 'another people' at birth.

MORE! Parts (b) and (c) of verse 32 are mentioned below after the explanation of CUSTODY.
** CUSTODY: The care and keeping of property (real and personal).

For example: When a home is sold by a Real Estate Agent, an escrow agent has custody of documents and funds until closing.   Another example:  If I place a watch into your hands for safe keeping, and even if you wear the watch, it is still my property. You have custody.  With the birth certificate, the State takes ownership of the child and places it in your care. That is why parents are said to have custody. If you have custody of something, it is not your property.   In the Bible children are the property of the parents, not the property of the State as in The United States today.

 Verse 32 part b.

32.  (a) Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people,

(b) and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long:

What GOOD parents need to know as soon as possible about Child Protective Services.

 

 " and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: "

   Any allegation by the school or neighbor about the children brings Child Protective Services to your door and gives them an opportunity to take your child!. The parents are presumed guilty. 'Your' children may be taken away and placed in foster care. "given unto another people",

1. Given to another people at birth i.e. custody.
2. Taken by CPS and placed in foster care or adopted out.

"and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long:"

   CPS may not allow you to visit with or see your child. Divorce, supervised CPS visitation or CPS foster care will keep you away from your children, "and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: "

   Real child abusers will often find themselves in violation of State law, charged with a crime and given Due Process and an opportunity to defend themselves in a Criminal Court.

   Falsely accused parents will be presumed guilty by CPS and denied due process in a Juvenile Court. In Juvenile Court, child abuse is whatever the social worker says it is without regard to State Laws*. In Juvenile Court proof of your guilt is the social worker's accusation. (You child belongs to them, remember.)

*"We have a tendency to broaden what we consider abuse or neglect beyond the statutory definitions." 

32.  (a) Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people,

(b) and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long:

(c) and there shall be no might in thine hand.

 and there shall be no might in thine hand.

   A false allegation of child abuse is real a money maker for those involved. If they take 'your' children, you will, in frustration, discover you can't do anything about it. (no might in thine hand) (CPS and Organized Crime)

  Any involvement with CPS will require an attorney to reduce damages, but do not expect him to win.

   Do not expect to sue and win because CPS has Sovereign Immunity. (For an example click here and search for case CV 2008-03-2422)

   When falsely accused, all most attorneys can do is reduce damages and see to it that you eventually get your child back. If possible hire your own Guardian at lieden for the child. Avoid Court appointed attorneys for both yourself and your child.

   Let your attorney do the fighting while you kowtow before them. Sorry, that is the way it is. (no might in thine hand)

Verse 41- Juvenile delinquency, public schools,
Child Protection Services, kidjacking and prison.
This verse has two parts.
41.  (a) Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them;

(b) for they shall go into captivity		 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters but thou shalt not enjoy them;

   Unhappy homes and unruly wives result in unruly children.  Unruly children will bring upon you problems with public schools, police and Child Protection Services. (CPS)

   CPS might even threaten, "The public school teacher has complained. Give your child ADD - ADHD medications or we will take them from you, put them in foster care and medicate them."  (Drugged children.)

41.  (a) Thou shalt beget sons and daughters,  but thou shalt not enjoy them;

 (b) for they shall go into captivity.

   Your child might end up in foster care or prison.

The United States has a larger percentage of its people in its jails than any other nation.

   CPS foster care is also captivity. 463,000 in 2010. You need not be a bad parent, a false accusation is often all it takes. CPS Tricks (TV's Dr. Phil says 750,000)

In 2010 the prison population was 1,404,053.

'The Old Planet'                     1962                     'The New Planet'Click on the picture to order.

   In the book Strategies for Saving Your Sanity in Parenthood by Dr. Mike Thomson, Dr. Mike said , "I'm convinced that out of 100 children on the old planet, about 99 towed the line. Today, I believe the opposite is true..."

   Doctor Mike talked about an 'Old Planet' where children behaved and a "New Planet" where children do not behave. Dr. Mike does not say when or why this change took place. I would say the "Old Planet" became the "New Planet" on June 25, 1962. This important date and what happened that day is mentioned above. Below you will find Dr. Mike's comments on "Old Planet" v "New Planet".
(Page 62) Many kids, who grew up on the "old planet", believed choice was no option.  But, if you came right down to it, they did have a choice ... pick up your toys or Else; enjoy the vacation or Else; do the dishes or Else; do your chores or Else; do well in school or Else!

   This doesn't mean that the parents of the "old planet" were fascists or dictators, or anything close to that.  When it came right down to it, "Else" was actually comforting for kids. They knew they had guidelines.  They knew they had boundaries.  They knew they had structure.  The boundaries on behavior were clearly marked.          

(Page 63) So what happened?  Well then asked that question a million times.  I think over the years, the "new planet" kids have learned more more about internal power, control and choices.  "New planet kids" have learned they had the power of choice.

    Couple this with what they are seeing and hearing around them nowadays and you have kids who have learned how to co-opt their parents into believing that "Else" doesn't affect them as a the kids in the past. Just look around you and see what I mean.
(Page 63)  The difference is that on the "old planet"  these boundaries are clearly marked, both verbally and nonverbally by the "old planet" parents and, if you made a poor choice, parents not only huffed and puffed, but they followed through and blew the house down!  Guaranteed. (Page 63) Contrast that with (new planet) parents I've observed today and you'll find huffing, puffing and just a bunch of threatening to blow the house down, with little or no follow through.  And you think the kids know this?  You know the answer.
(Page 63) Think about it: on the "old planet", there was more clarity regarding boundaries from adults, whether was implied or not.  "Old planet" parents stood up against evil things, people and situations because it was the right thing to do.  And what really helped "old planet" parents was a most kids followed their boundaries, believing it was the right thing to do - and if they didn't "Else" happened! (Page 64) As "new planet" parents, we need to step up to the plate and take from the "old planet" parents what worked and providing their kids with that safety net. Parents today need to be the ones who verbally and non-verbally set the structure.  We need to be clear with our kids what we expect.  We need to clear with our kids what we'll do if they choose not to go by our expectations.  That isn't a threat. It's just a promise to them that we'll be consistent - we will follow through.
(Page 78) In the past, on the old planet, parents met very little resistance from the children.  Kids did what they were asked to do. 

(Page 79) On the old planet, you might have thought about going against what was expected of you, and challenging the norm, but that's as far as you went.  Your thoughts would have never become actions.  You were the original "legend in your own mind" poster child.  If you talk back to adults the ways some kids do today, most of you would know they will sit down for weeks! I'm convinced that out of 100 children on the old planet,  about 99 towed the line.  Today, I believe the opposite is true...

 (Page 78)   The new planet kids bring with them a new mentality regarding the issue of control, along with a new set of problems to tackle.

Deuteronomy 28:41. Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them;
(Page 116) The psychologizing" of our society is alive and well!  On the old planet, misbehavior is viewed as a right and wrong, acceptable and un acceptable, permitted and not permitted.  Period, end of sentence. (Page 116) Enter the (new planet) psycho-babbling stream of shrinks, talk show hosts an arm-chair psychologists around us today.  Misbehavior is either the result of low self-esteem, a brain snafu who, food allergies, being the child of left-handed vegetarian, or some other gene- dysfunctional problem.  This type of thinking supports the "I am not responsible for my choices" mentality. 
(Page 142) We found out early in this book that many people around the world are asking similar questions: What's going on with our kids today, compared to when I grew up?  What happened?  The choices kids are making today are light years away from the choices made on the old planet.  As a result, many parents are looking for a strategy to save the sanity - or what is left of it.

We also found out that nobody gave us a manual when we entered into the world of parenting. (How about the Bible? editor)

 (Page 142) We found out that kids on this new planet say things like, "So".  "Whatever."  "That's cool."  "You can do what you want because I'm not going to change!"  With these changes came an attitude of "demandingness" in the form of a "me" attitude or an "I don't care about anyone but myself attitude" leading to the common middle name of "get me", "buy me", "take me", "give me."
Click on the picture to order.   Dr. Mike Thomson, quoted above, has written an excellent book for "new planet" parents titled Strategies for Saving Your Sanity In Parenthood.  It is copyrighted in 2003. That is 41 years after the birth of the "new planet" in 1962.

   In the United States, for 186 years, from 1776 until 1962 children minded their parents. Today, 41 years after rejecting God and his Ten Commandments in government, the exact opposite is true.

Verse 43 - Political Office and Positions of Power
43.  The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.    Your president will not even be a natural born citizen as required by the Constitution.

   A 'stranger' in The United States is a person made citizen by the 14th Amendment.

Billions For The Bankers
Deuteronomy 28:15.  But it shall come to pass, if thou (the nation) wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day;  that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 

20. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

63. And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

There is hope!

At the beginning of this article you read that God has turned his back on America. BUT only until a certain time.

2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people, which are called by my name, (Christians) shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; (Rejection of God's Law) then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Affliction comes before seeking!

Home Ownership in Today's Post 1962 United States
In the present distress might it be better to rent rather than to buy?

   It would be nice to again enjoy the American Dream. This includes an affordable paid for home in a nice community, a loving wife, friendly neighbors, a safe community, several healthy children who prosper and go to college, a job in a company that lasts until retirement, a pension and grandchildren for the golden years. Everything that God promised in Deuteronomy 28:1-15.

   But that is not how it is going for an increasing number of us. Most homes are heavily mortgaged. Many are in foreclosure. Homes are falling apart in some economically distressed areas. In others homes are destroyed by flood waters, hurricanes and tornadoes. Many of us are fighting with or divorcing the spouse. Our children are rebellious, having trouble in school or dropping out. Factories are being closed and our jobs sent to China. We are getting sicker and sicker and our health insurance is going away. Retirement funds are plundered. (Deuteronomy 29:16+++)

   Again: Put your thinking caps on. Is this simply cause and effect or is it proof that God keeps his word? Look for yourself America. How many times do you find "The Lord shall" in Deuteronomy 28? And how many times does God say, "I will" in the companion chapter Leviticus 26?

 Ecclesiastes 3

1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

   Now add "a time to buy and a time to rent".

   Consider the following. There may be a time for you to buy and a time to rent. Gone are the days when you could buy a home and live in it until retirement while working for one employer until that retirement time.

   Between now and when America repents our afliction will only get worse. Here are some things to think about as you make your survival plans.

 

BUY                                or                              RENT

(1) The neighborhood, (2) employment, (3) marriage, (4) children, (5) natural and man made disasters.
If you buy a home with a bad next door neighbor, you might suffer for years. You can move to a different street or to a better neighborhood.

If you lose your job your search for a new job is limited to your area. You might end up commuting long distances daily.

Perhaps the time would have been better spent with the family and the travel expense, put into savings.

If you lose your job, your job search is not limited to your location. Many business promotions require relocation. No relocation - no promotion. If your company closes in one location, it may offer you a job in another. If you are a homeowner you might pass up the opportunity. The money saved by not commuting, or gained by accepting the promotion, can be saved for an emergency or eventual home purchase upon retirement.

Homeowners often remodel. This takes time and money. People often borrow against their home to pay for remodeling. So the home mortgage might never get paid off. Even if you do it yourself you lose time and money better used for family life. The government bribes you into home ownership with tax breaks.

If a renter wants a better home he can move. It costs less time and money to move than remodel. If the wife wants to redecorate or get new appliances, move to a different, already decorated home.

You could move to a rental and in turn, rent out the home you already bought. That will also generate income and tax deductions.

Homes require maintenance. People borrow money to replace the furnace, water heater or fix the roof. This is often via a home equity loan.

Renters call the landlord. It is his problem not yours. As a renter you might not even need to mow the grass.
You have young children and discover your home is contaminated by lead paint, mold or asbestos. You discover that it will cost 8 - 10 thousand dollars to decontaminate your home. You borrow the money, spend your savings or get a home equity loan. You have young children and discover your home is contaminated. You call the landlord or move into a safer rental home.

 

Floods, tornadoes and natural disasters: In New Orleans, when Katrina destroyed the city, people lost their homes and jobs. Some chose to stay and rebuild.

Those who stayed suffered from the BP oil spill.

Renters collected their renters insurance and found another home quicker and a new job faster in a safer location.

Those who moved read about the BP oil spill in their newspaper.

If you do not pay the mortgage payment or property taxes you are evicted.

If you don't pay the rent, you are evicted.

In a Calvin and Hobbs comic strip, little Calvin was building a sand castle on the beach. The waves washed it away time after time. Calvin's father asked, "What are you doing?" Calvin answered. "I am rebuilding Stupidville."

If you live near a river, ocean or in a flood plain, do you really want to be a home owner?

Fancy beach front home? Perhaps it is better to rent and get out of town when bad weather comes your way.
If you grow old and can not climb stairs or need handicapped access, you must either sell or remodel. The remodeling eats up your retirement savings. You can easily change homes as your needs change.

If your home is too small because you now have children, you might build an addition. (With borrowed money.) Later the home might become too large because grown children move out.

As a renter you can change home size and cost at will. If you lose a good paying job or your children move out you can rent a smaller home. If you need a smaller, larger or a better home, simply change landlords.
Your home is large and your grown  unruly or unemployed children want to move back in. Remember Deuteronomy 28:41. "Thou shalt beget sons and daughters,  but thou shalt not enjoy them;..." You downsized when your unruly children left home and now, with no spare bedroom and a damp basement, they can't move back in.

Home owners buy things renters do not need. For example, extension ladders, house paint, lawn mowers and landscaping plants. Then you store half empty paint cans and used brushes for next time.

Renting gets a lot of clutter out of your life. A relative of mine died. A lifetime of useless stuff filled the home and basement. It took months to dispose of it. Most was worthless. Renters leave clutter behind.

"Incidentally, home ownership is overrated.  It is usually cheaper to rent or lease your living quarters.  Further, should disaster strike from whatever direction, as a renter you can move before the sun rises tomorrow morning.  The homeowner, on the other hand, will dawdle and procrastinate, and, in some cases, this delay will be fatal." ....."As talk show host Bruce Williams - one of the best financial advisors in the nation - constantly preaches, "Renting is cheaper than buying."

Marriage, Deuteronomy 28:30 and Rent v. Buy
Deuteronomy 28:30. Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. Marriage, Homes and Businesses: Today many marriages end in divorce. The divorce court gives the wife the house you built or bought and her lover moves in. The divorce often ends up costing the man his savings, home, children, and sometimes his job or business.
BUY: The divorce court gives your home to the ex. Her boy-friend moves in. Did you notice? The verse above use the words "another man shall lie with her". NOT, "another woman shall lie with him". That verse is directed primarily to the man. RENT: The boy-friend might get stuck with the rent payment.

What people do not know about the Marriage License.

Children and Rent v. Buy

   Child Protective Services (CPS) comes to your door because some hostile neighbor made an anonymous complaint, or the lazy school teacher complained that you were not 'properly' medicating your 'ADD' child, or an unruly teenager 'rated out' the parents. Your child is injured playing football and you are falsely accused of hitting him.

    You can stay and fight CPS in which case you will find Deuteronomy 28:32 means what it says. You will lose. "and there shall be no might in thine hand." and  "for they shall go into captivity."

Proverbs 6:11 "So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man."  In plain English Proverbs 6:11 says: if you stay rather than run, "your troubles will come like that of a traveler when suddenly ambushed by a robber who is too strong to be resisted."

  In our present world CPS is too strong to be resisted. Suing them is a waste of time and money because they have sovereign immunity and well thought of by an ignorant public. Deuteronomy 28:32 means what it says," and there shall be no might in thine hand". Neither you or your lawyer can fight these people and win. If they take your children, just kowtow until you get them back.

Proverbs 22:3.  A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

   As a renter, you can get out of town and out of their jurisdiction before it is too late. Move while you still have custody. Otherwise it will be too late. Once the Court has removed custody, they will look for and probably find you.  "for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him". As a renter, you don't need to stick around to sell your home first.

"but the simple pass on, and are punished."

   Fighting a losing battle with CPS costs far more than moving. (Time, money, frustration, doctors, lawyers, psychological tests no end.)

   In an interview with Brenda Scott, the author of the book Out of Control, a Christian social worker who once worked for CPS, who is also a parent, was asked how she would respond if the social worker appeared at her door. She replied,   "I wouldn't let him in. Then my husband and I would abandon everything we have and leave that night."  That's quite an indictment from a person who has seen the system from the inside. Religious Persecution and Rent v Buy
Matthew 10:23. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Leave town with clean feet. Luke 9:5." And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them." (Also Matthew 10:14, Mark 6:11 and Luke 10:11.)

The True History of Christianity

 Keeping a 7th day Sabbath has led to the death of a huge number of Christians who failed to flee.

Some fled the Roman Empire, later people fled from Europe to England. From Europe and England to the America's, Africa and Australia. Even from the East Coast of The United States to the West. (Roger Williams) The history books simply say, "for religious freedom" but leave out the 7th Day Sabbath connection. In today's world you can be persecuted for many Bible beliefs. Jesus advice, "Leave town".
When the state threatened the child Jesus, what did Joseph and Mary do? Before it was too late, they took Jesus and fled Herod's jurisdiction . (While they still had custody.)

Matthew 2:13.  And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. (Fleeing local jurisdiction to protect the child from government bureaucrats.  In the Star Wars movie the children Luke and Leah are given to relatives to keep them hidden from the emperor.)

 ** "In our own society, we teach our children to be afraid.  Notice the mailings and late-night TV spots depicting lost children.  The impression is that children are in great danger of abduction;  yet the actual number of abductions is very small, and, in fact, more than 90% of these so-called "abductions" are committed by parents who have been denied legal custody."  The Wildest Colts Make the Best Horses by John Breeding, Ph.D  Page 179

Leaving Town - A Few More Bible examples

Genesis12:1.  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: (A job opportunity in another city?)

Genesis 19:14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. (Civil unrest, flood, hurricane or enemy invasion.)

1 Kings 11:40.  Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon. (Perhaps Iraq's Saddam Hussein should have taken this advice.)

2 Chronicles 10:18.  Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; (tax collector) and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem. (Running from a lynch mob.)

1 Kings 17:1-16 (2) And the word of the Lord came unto him, (Elijah) saying, (3) Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. (Religious or political persecution.) In the Star Wars movie Yoda 'leaves town' going in to hiding.

Noah: "But Noah was very uneasy at what they did; and being displeased at their conduct, persuaded them to change their dispositions and their acts for the better: but seeing they did not yield to him, but were slaves to their wicked pleasures, he was afraid they would kill him, together with his wife and children, and those they had married; so he departed out of that land." The Antiquities of the Jews by Flavius Josephus.

Even Jesus Had to Leave Town

John 7:1 And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him. (Jesus lived in Galilee. Jesus did not live in Judea. Perhaps it might be said, Jesus had a 'hide out' in Galilee. John 7:34-35)
