Church Name and History
Acts of the Apostles 20:28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves,
and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you
overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with
his own blood.
1 Corinthians 1:2. Unto
the church of God
which is at
Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints,
with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
both theirs and ours:
1 Corinthians 10:32. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor
to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Galatians 1:13. For ye have heard of my conversation in time
past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted
the
church of God, and wasted it:
1 Timothy 3:5. (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how
shall he take care of the church of God?)
A scattered church
Matthew 26:31. Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be
offended because of me this night: for it is written, (Zechariah 13:7) I
will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered
abroad.
A persecuted church
Revelation 12:17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and
went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments
of God, (Old Testament) and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (New
Testament).
